A presentation ceremony was held for the HKU-SCF Scholarship in Financial Technology for the academic year 2024-25 at HK FinTech Week on 28 October, 2024. The scholarship is part of a wider initiative by the HKU-SCF FinTech Academy, generously supported by the Standard Chartered Hong Kong 150th Anniversary Community Foundation.

The HKU-SCF FinTech Academy aims to attract and nurture promising students who are poised to drive the future development of FinTech in Hong Kong and beyond. This scholarship reflects the Academy’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and innovation in the field of FinTech.

This year, a total of 11 students with outstanding entrance examination results have been awarded scholarships from the Academy. These students are currently pursuing the Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Financial Technology (BASc(FinTech)) or the Master of Science in Financial Technology and Data Analytics (MSc(FTDA)) programme at HKU. Undergraduate students receive an entrance scholarship of HK$50,000, while postgraduate students receive HK$60,000.
